Fine potato dishes, trout and carp from local waters, meat mainly from organic farmers in the region, poppy seed specialties and many other delicacies from the Waldviertel kitchen in the form of down-to-earth home cooking await you. We always choose from a variety of vegetarian dishes.
The Waldviertel is of course also known beyond the borders for its culinary delights with the 4 gourmet regions (Waldviertler Karpfen, Waldviertler Erdäpfel, Waldviertler Kriecherl and Waldviertler Mohn). Almost something of a culinary landmark in the Waldviertel is the Waldviertler Erdäpfelknödel, which often appears on our menu.
You will find Kriecherl fruit spread and syrup at the breakfast buffet. The poppy comes from the region, the carp from the Zwettl monastery fishing and the organic potatoes from our own farm. You will therefore find one or more of these culinary highlights on our food and drink menu almost every day.
